I have researched ancient written scripts for more than seven years. I am currently in my sixth year of Mandarin. I have compared Sumerian and Akkadian cuneiform, Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, Maya glyphs, Chinese Hanzi, Hebrew, Greek, Latin, Spanish, and English in order to catalog linguistic universals. Comparing the relationship of the shape of written characters with the definitions given in various lexicons highlights the prevalence of bilateral symmetry in words related to female mammals.
